Ready-made curtains can be a sensible choice for straightforward windows, temporary rooms or spaces where the finish is less important.
They are available quickly and can be a practical answer when the window size, drop and fabric choice happen to work well enough.
What made-to-measure changes
Made-to-measure curtains are planned around the exact window, the room and the fitting position. That usually means better proportions, more appropriate fullness and a cleaner long-term finish.
There is also far more choice: fabric, heading style, lining, interlining, tracks, poles and details can all be considered together.
Unusual windows and considered interiors
Bay windows, tall windows, period properties and renovated homes often benefit from a made-to-measure approach. The details are more visible, and small compromises can make the whole room feel less resolved.
